12 Steps for writing the RIGHT book in 3 days

This book is to be used as your business card and lead magnet to get people interested in you to help you achieve your purpose for writing this book, which will in most cases be to get branded to grow your business and income.
  1.  Have the 8 pillars for writing the RIGHT book answered
    •  Make money/no money - Majority YES!!
    • Biz/Employee
    • Your purpose
    • Topic
    • Target Audience
    • Readers purpose
    • Title
    • Subtitle
    •
  2. Chapter titles
  3. Bullet points (Aim for 50-60 bullet points which will equate to 50-60 A4 Word pages of content) Formatter can bump it up if needed.
  4. Start producing content through voice recording, typing, or writing your book. Voice recording is by far the fastest way. If you have 3-4 mins of voice recording you’ll have 1 book page of info. It may take 20-30 mins of writing or typing to get 1 page of info, so you decide which method you want to use to get your book done the fastest.
  5. Order a 3D book cover from Fiverr for marketing (not your final cover)
  6. Purchase the domain name for your specialist book marketing website this solidifies your title too
  7. Start marketing your book on Social Media and keep consistently drip feeding them info
  8. Set aside regular time and follow up with your book angel or someone who you’ve buddied up with to make progress with your book. Create an action plan for when you want your book done and then set regular and small milestones to get to that point.
  9. Make sure you’ve got the editing and formatting service from us as it’s the best deal you’ll get anywhere and you’ve got a trusted service from me to your name.
  10.  Get your content done as fast as possible, remember it’s not about how perfect it is, it’s about getting it done to the best of your ability now.
  11. Follow my book and the internal info as a model. Dedication page, acknowledgements page, testimonials, foreword etc.
  12. Keep accountable in the WhatsApp group and FB group and get this book done as fast as possible.

BA Publication process guide

Publication Process - Steps and Information.
(The headache saving guide for you and your colleagues)
So your author is ready for the publication process.  Before you start it is important you explain to the client that during this process there will be a lot of back and forth emails, and the longer they take to respond the longer the process will take (nicely but firmly).  To help keep the process on track follow the steps below.
Book Content
  1. Send the draft from client to Judith (editor) for the editing process (word format).  During this process Judith will send the book back for approval by the client.  When you forward it onto the client inform them that if they wish to make any changes, they must reply via email stating; the changes to be made, page number, paragraph number and line.  If it is not stated clearly the changes will not be made.  If they request changes forward e-mail to Judith.  Continue this process until the client is happy.
  2. Once editing has been completed, send to James for formatting. James will format(lay out) the book, and send it back for approval. Again forward onto the client for approval, if they request any changes, they must be clearly stated via e-mail. Continue this process until the client is happy. The final version must be PDF format.
  3. KDP (this is where you upload the final version of the book), Whilst steps 1 and 2 are happening, ask the client to create an account with Amazon, using the following link kdp.amazon.com. Amazon will provide the isbn number which you will need later. Once the client has created the account ask them to send you the login information and password.
  •  If I client needs their book transcribing contact Nancy, once it is transcribed follow steps 1 - 3
  • Ensure that when you are forwarding emails between clients and the team you remove any personal information (names, email addresses etc) of either party.
Cover
The client is responsible to arrange (via a designer) and implement the cover design.  We suggest they use a designer from fiverr (but this is normally explained at the camp), you need to ensure they have all the requirements before they start this process.  The requirements are as follows:-
·         Size - 13.97 x 21.59 each side
·         Page total - to give measurements for the spine (ask James for this when sending it to formatting)
·         Authors photo (back cover)
·         Book synopsis/Blurb (back cover)
·         Wow book publishing logo (back cover)·

·         Space left for the barcode and isbn number
·         Prices in £ (pounds), $ (dollars) and € (euros)
Before you go to publication, you must ensure your client to submits a statement via e-mail stating that they are happy with the final version and are ready to go to the final printing/uploading phase.

KDP Uploading Book Instruction Sheet

Only do this once your client has confirmed that everything is ready and good to go.
Before you start the KDP process ask the client to write a short synopois about the book, confirm the categories they would like the book to be placed into i.e action, thriller, fiction non fiction etc.
  • Kindle E-book Details
    1. Log in using the clients information
    2. Complete the first page
      • Language
      • Book Title
      • Description
      • Contributors - Vishal Mojaria
      • Keywords - Categories the book falls into
Once you have entered all the above information - ensure you select the paperback option, to move to the next stage.

Kindle Book Content
  • DRM Rights - select No
  • Upload manuscript - in PDF format (ensure it is the final approved version) It will tell you that this format is not advisable but just go ahaead anyway it will be ok.
  • Upload the cover in JPG format - Once cover is uploaded ensure there is no red dotted line around the edge, if there is it mean the cover will not be set properly.  The white lines is what the cover will show so ensure all text and pictures are inside this line.
  • Launch the previewer - ensure the text and layout is correct and in good order.
You then get the option to order your prof copy.  You click yes and ensure the prof copy and gets sent to the clients email address.  The client will then be responsiable for ordering their prof (takes about 5 - 7 days for the client to recieve the prof once ordered).

Once they have the prof they have to send you a picture of them holding the book (this is your prof that you have completed your role, you will not recieve your comission without the pic).  If they are happy with the prof then you go onto the final phase.
